Eight Months Today
Imogen is 8 months old today - hard to believe it, but we're two thirds of the way through the first year. (That means it's only 4 months to Christmas!!)
She was weighed again a couple of weeks ago (on the 9th, when she was 32 weeks), and was 16lb 14oz, so has slowed down a bit. That's part way between the 25th and 50th centiles, nearer the former. She was also measured, and was 68cm, which is just a tiny fraction over the 50th centile.
The only other news is that we've had it confirmed that Immy is allergic to milk. Properly allergic, not just lactose intolerant. So, no dairy of any sort, which rules out cheese, yoghurt and many other things. Also, nothing with milk products in, including casein, whey, and all sorts of other ingredients that you find in the commonest of foods. We've also been warned off egg and soya (as well as other milks such as goat's and sheep's), so it's going to be interesting finding things for her to eat!
Still, there's a lot worse that could be wrong, and hopefully she'll grow out of it in a few years (apparently 80% will grow out of it by the age of 4), so it's far from the end of the world.
Apart from that, no other news really. She's still absolutely, totally, wonderfully fab!
